Cryogenic and Superconductive Techniques Laboratory

PHENIX is large experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. It has a number of big gaseous detectors.

Our work:

Our gas systems provide appropriate gas mixtures for these detectors:

• DC/PC (Drift Chamber/Pad Chamber)
• TEC/TRD (Time Expansion Chamber/Transition Radiation Detector)
• MuID (Muon IDentifier)
• MuTR (Muon TRacker)
• TOF (Time Of Flight)
• HBD (Hadron Blind Detector)
• RPC (Resistive Pad Chambers Detector)
