Cryogenic and Superconductive Techniques Laboratory

For future few-nucleon interactions studies with polarized beams and targets at COSY-Juelich, a polarized internal storage cell gas target is currently being developed and will be implemented at ANKE shortly after unpolarized internal storage cell gas target tests. At present tests with Atomic Beam Source and cell prototypes at the laboratory of Institute for Nuclear Physic (IKP, Forschungszentrum Juelich) have been prepared. The results of these tests with using of the Lamb-Shift polarimeter give a good attitude of the signal from the polarized atoms and the background noise. At the same time cell tests at ANKE for determination of the COSY beam dimensions have been done.
