Cryogenic time projection chamber
The Cryogenic Time Projection Chamber (TPC) is the main detector of muon capture at deutron experiment (MuSun).
The TPC chamber is designed to work with the ultra-pure deuterium from CHUPS system at 33K temperature and 5 bar absolute pressure. The cooling system of the chamber relies on the gravity circulation of the liquid Neon in the closed loop system.
Nowadays the detector and support system is installed in PSI.
