Magnetometer instrument was designed for the measurement of the magnetic field using the Hall probes. It provides measurements of one three-component sensor or three independent Hall probes. It is based on the Atmel AT89S8252 microcontroller with 8 kB non-volatile memory, which is used for keeping the calibration tables of the sensor. In addition device is equipped with temperature measurement channel to calculate temperature compensation for the field measurement.
Current for the sensors is supplied by three high-stability current sources (1mA-240mA) with reverse capability, which is very useful to suppress all thermo EMF influence using the averaging with reverse of the measuring current. Fourth current source supplies temperature TRD sensor.
The instrument is successfully used in CELGAS experiment.
